Big Apple Pond Hockey Classic – Team BGB NYC Champions

Just wanted to give everyone a quick update on the Big Apple Pond Hockey Classic this past Saturday in Bryant Park, New York City. With a trip to the International Pond Hockey Championships to represent New York in the 2013 Tournament in Montreal on the line, Team BigGreenBeats came to play and brought home the title not just for us but for the entire BGB community. While next year we certainly hope to see the tournament played during primetime hours and with even bigger BEATS, we had an amazing time and see this event getting HUGE in the next few years, congratulations to Streaker Sports on everything. Team members Peter Boldt, Chris Kempner, Will & Adam Boardman, Garrett Overlock and Mike Devine all put their best foot forward and played pivotal rolls in bringing home the hardware. Mike Devine gets the Eruizone award for some big game effort in the finals while Pete Boldt definitely brought home the MVP. We will be training hard and featured in 24/7 Road to the Pond Hockey Championships: The Road Goes Through Bleeker Heights, produced by Trip Cowin, first episode coming in January 2013.
