Caveman - “Thankful”
NYC-based Indie band Caveman released their debut album, CoCo Beware, this past winter. Described as a "soundscape," a "fog" with "firm drumbeats and guitar-picking hooks," and a "blur" by New York Times' writers in November -- Caveman's unique sound captures a sense of contained anxiety with its emotionally charged strums and vocal harmonies. The official video for its popular track, "Thankful," was released at the end of March: a cleanly directed, yet surprising segment depicting tatted, pleather-wearing heavy weight wrestlers in New York City. While the film features long-haired grizzlies, the song -- without the video -- evokes images of a lazy weekend, quite like the one you'll be having (hopefully) this Memorial Day.
