After seeing Porter Robinson at Electric Zoo just two months ago, we jumped at the opportunity to see him team up with Zedd at Pacha on Friday night. The young duo is coming together as both their careers begin to take off and with Zedd's release of Clarity, we expect some big things from these two.
After warming up with Nick Thayer, Porter and Zedd took to the stage and delivered their unique combination of personal hits, mainstream classics with upbeat drops that make "Everybody Fucking Jumpppp." Early favorite was a combination of M83's Midnight City and Hard Rock Sofa's Quasar. Quickly following that was the all time Porter favorite, Seconds. Zedd followed with his remix of Save the World Tonight, which was followed by Firestorm from Too Far Loud.
Porter kept the party moving with Avicii's Silhouettes as well as another one of his classics that kept the crowd humming along with him in Unison. One of the best parts about Porter is that no matter what DJ Set I find online, he is always unique. On top of unique, the duo stayed current with a quick tribute to Psy's Gangnam Style and maintained their sense of humor with a Version of Levels that followed with a voice saying, "Nooo, no!"
The BGB team highly reccomends seeing these two as they tour North America (see tour dates below.) They both have proved themselves as amazing Producers but also know how to throw a party when on the DJ stand.
